BIBLE: The Word of God.

A historical and instructional book inspired by God, penned by man. The Bible was written over a 1500 year period, by over 40 different authors. It was written on 3 continents by these authors who lived in varying places and at different times. Many of them never knew each other.

  • Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! (Psalm 33:12-22)
  • Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. (1 Peter 2:16)
  • Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. (Romans 13)
  • See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. (Colossians 2:8)
  • “This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.” (Romans 13:6-7)

RIGHTS: For The Christian, rights are inferior to Biblical responsibility. For a Christian, if exercising any right means putting them in a Biblically immoral position, that right should be rejected in favor of the Biblical mandate.

HUMILITY: The Christian acknowledgement that all their gifts, abilities and opportunities come from God, and the privilege of using them in His service.

MARRIAGE: A spiritual, physical, and legal lifetime commitment between a man and woman. That commitment includes the promise to be true and faithful to one another, not only sexually, but in intimacy in all areas of life.

MORALITY: To a Christian, morality is not situational but absolute. The ten commandments provide the foundation for the understanding of morality.

ABORTION: The clinical, intentional, killing of live unborn human beings.

CHRISTIAN GUN OWNER: A person who is first, a believer in Christ, and His death, burial and resurrection. A person whose life, school, work, play and service to God and other people reflect that faith.

This person as a gun owner, is thankful for the second amendment to the constitution of the U.S. This person acknowledges their responsibility to learn to safely and effectively operate and use their gun(s).

This Christian gun owner is a person with no desire to harm anyone, but with an understanding of the obligation to take responsibility for their safety and that of their family and friends.

Guns are not the problem. Sinful people are the problem.

SELF DEFENSE: The absolute necessity to, by force of violence, protect oneself or others from great bodily harm or death at the hands of someone who will not abide by the rules of a civilized society. Generally self defense for a Christian will be exercised when assaulted or gravely threatened by a criminal who is intent on robbing, raping, or killing them.

Not to be confused with “turning the other cheek”. That statement of Jesus referred to persecution for His name’s sake and referred to less than lethal force.

Self defense is for a criminal not interested in a Christian’s object of faith, but only in harming them for personal gain. The Christian gun owner understands the human right to defend oneself, and their gun as a constitutionally granted tool for self defense.
